To many students, reading can be challenging and sometimes students feel frustrated when they are learning to read. Tales for Tails helps to curve this frustration as dogs serve as a “boost” to students as they read to the dogs. The children read aloud to the dog and the dog listens without judgement.
Tales for Tails will be visiting Jackson Elementary monthly. The program serves as a reward for all of the hard work the students have done to improve their reading skills and provides them with another opportunity to associate reading with something positive.
